JOSH
Sup! Here's where we introduce you to our brilliant team, the TEN OF CLUBS COLLECTIVE.
Next to be probed for your pleasure is our Ghost-obsessed young photographer, videographer and editor, Josh. For neat rum, double joints, Victorian life, and Norse mythology, read on!

Please introduce yourself.
Hey, I’m Josh. I’m 18. I take photos and help edit videos for TEN OF CLUBS.
How did you get started in photography?
I’ve always taken photos of anything and everything. I love photography, videography and anything creative along those lines. I got given my grandad’s old camera, a Canon Rebel XSi, back in 2022, which allowed me to really learn about photography. It’s gone from there.
Give us some of your favourite photographers.
Well, I definitely have to include Oli Brotherhood. I’ve loved his work for years. He also doubles up as a videographer, which has inspired me in a few of my projects during college.
Dino Serrao is a portrait photographer who takes photos of everyday people. His style brings out the amazing features of anyone who meets his lens. His work has inspired me to take more photos of people, whether that be candids or posed shots.
I also love Andoni Beristain’s work. He’s a surrealist photographer. I love his weird and wacky photos, and learning how he creates them.
What TV shows are you into?
I love shows like The Witcher, Peaky Blinders, and Ragnarok. I’m also partial to That 70’s show, The Ranch, and Friends.
What movie title best describes your life?
Legend.
Very good! What’s the best way to start the day?
Hitting shuffle on my playlist and seeing where it lands.
What songs have you completely memorised?
If I gave you a full list we’d be here for hours. However, high up on the list would be songs such as ‘I Wanna be Your Slave’, ‘Baby Said’, ‘Honey (Are U Coming?)’, and ‘Supermodel’ by Måneskin.
And pretty much any song by Ghost.
What would you rate 10 out of 10?
Probably the Youtube series Borderless by Natalie Lynn. The cinematography, colour grading, and general storytelling throughout is amazing. I’m probably on my 4th or 5th rewatch now.
What’s your favourite drink?
Either a cup of tea or an ice cream soda.
What’s your dream car?
I’m more of a bike person, myself. On that front it would have to be a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. But if I have to choose a car, it would be a 1958 Chevy Impala.
Remarkably specific. What skill would you most like to master?
I’d love to learn a couple more languages. And also learn the guitar.
How do you relax after a busy day?
The same way I wake up, pretty much. I hit shuffle on my playlist and see where it goes from there. I like to listen to music while either reading or flicking through Instagram. Follow TEN OF CLUBS @tenofclubsuk.
What’s your ideal way to spend the weekend?
Hanging with some friends, with music blaring through my speaker. Maybe go out for a ride on my bike, and then end at the pub to sit in the sun. Then, on Sunday, do more of the same.
What’s the most interesting place you’ve been to?
One I really enjoy is Blists Hill in Telford. It’s an open air museum of a Victorian town, with all the buildings and infrastructure. It gives you a taste of life in that area during the late 19th century. During the summer it comes alive with actors giving life to the place. It’s really interesting.
What city would you most like to live in?
At the moment it’s Oslo, hands down. It could probably be any city in Norway, it’s just that the only one I’ve been to is Oslo. Loved it.
Who’s your go-to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Måneskin or Froukje.
Of Monsters and Men are probably on the list too, although it would be specifically the album ‘My Head Is An Animal’. So good!
What is your proudest achievement?
To date, it’s probably getting a distinction at college and getting into uni. I’m going next year. This is my gap year.
What’s the best book you’ve ever read?
Probably ‘The Gospel of Loki’ by Joanne M. Harris. I’m quite into Norse mythology. It tells a lot of the stories, but this time completely from the perspective of Loki himself. It’s a really interesting take on a set of stories that have been retold countless times.
What’s something a ton of people are obsessed with but you don’t get the point of?
Hmm… The band Queen. Not for me.
What gets you riled up or is guaranteed to annoy you?
Being Ignored.
Who said that? Tell us three surprising facts about yourself.
Okay, one, I’ve ridden horses since I can remember and I used to do show jumping competitions.
Two, I can skateboard. And three, I’m double jointed in my arms and legs. I’m regularly clicking and popping my knees and elbows. I know it annoys others. I don’t see what the issue is, but others seem to differ.
What is something you will NEVER do again?
Drink of a bottle of neat rum on no food.
Good call. Thanks, Josh. The interrogation is over. Is there anything else you’d like the world to know about you?
Nope! If I talk about myself any longer my ego might grow even bigger, and you really don’t want that! Cheers.
