It's our birthday! We are one. Today is the anniversary of when we first came upon the land. Time really does fly when you're having fun!

It seems incredible to us that we've been doing this for a whole year. Happily, we're still loving every minute. No two days are the same. It's brilliant!

To celebrate our birthday, we took a trip to our local pub, the unique and unchanging Elephant & Castle. Next, we hit the lanes of Banbury’s best (and, at time of writing, only) ten-pin bowling alley, Banbury Bowl. Do all bowling alleys have security on the door?

Very sadly, we were not able to muster a full team for the evening's fun and frolics, having lost a few to Covid house arrest. Regardless, undaunted, the rest of us eyed the pins and unleashed our balls.

PASSION AND ABILITY

As was to be expected, the TEN OF CLUBS bowling team displayed more passion than ability. Jordan - or should that be Tordau? - had difficulty inputting his name to the highly-advanced (for 1980) electronic scoreboard, demonstrating a lack of hand-eye coordination that proved to be emblematic of the team's general performance.

Charlie's bowling was notably erratic, prompting us to confirm he'd understood the aim of the game was to hit the pins, not artfully avoid them.

Skev won – which we all knew was going to happen from the moment he’d first suggested we go bowling – and the night followed an alcoholic path from there to the wee small hours of the morning.

GREAT MUSICIANS AND ARTISTS

We had a fun night. It was a great way to end what has been a great first year. We’ve learned so much, not only about the things we knew we didn’t know, but also about the things we didn’t know we didn’t know about.

We’ve also made some great new friends: musicians, artists of all kinds, and photographers, including legendary rock photographer Tony Woolliscroft

Most importantly, we have been working hard behind the scenes to create even more awesome alt rock apparel for you: new tees, hoodies, long sleeves and more.

However you got here, thanks for joining us. It means the world to us that you like what we're doing. We hope you'll love all that we have in store for you in year two. We think you will. Get ready. Gird your loins. Brace yourself!
