After a busy Burn It Down Festival weekend, Alex, James and Dan return to find new releases coming thick and fast. There’s plenty to get stuck into for this bumper review special.

On the singles front, the Ragamuffins check out new music from Spiritbox, the return of Polaris with their first new single since 2023, and Slipknot, who have sprung a surprise with 'Arsenal' — their first release through their own new label.

Then come the albums. Canadian deathcore/hardcore outfit Killing of a Sacred Deer return with sophomore record Encephalic Angels, while 156/Silence follow up the acclaimed People Watching with From A Distance.

There’s also Happier Now, the fourth album from Movements; the much-anticipated debut Blood of Your Empire from President; and Beartooth finally unleash sixth album Pure Ecstasy after a lengthy build-up.
