Booze-Fuelled Birthday Bowling Bash
It seems incredible, but we've been doing this for a whole year! Yes, Valentine’s Day 2021 was when TEN OF CLUBS first came upon the land. It’s our birthday!
Our first anniversary festivities started with a trip to the pub, then to the lanes of Banbury’s best and (at time of writing) only ten-pin bowling alley: Banbury Bowl. Do all bowling alleys have bouncers?
Sadly we were not able to muster a full team for the evening, having lost a few to Covid house arrest; but, undaunted, trusting luck more than skill, we unleashed our balls.
AMPLE PASSION AND ERRATIC BALLS
The TOC bowling team can be said to have displayed more passion than ability. Jordan's difficulty inputting his name to the scoreboard was emblematic of the team's general performance. But 'Tordau' and his lack of coordination were as nothing compared to Charlie's bowling: so erratic we had to confirm he'd understood the aim was to hit the pins, not artfully avoid them!
Skev won – which we knew was gonna happen from the moment he’d first suggested we go bowling! – and the night followed an alcoholic path from there to the wee small hours of the morning.

It was a great way to end what has been a great first year. We’ve learned so much, not only about the things we knew we didn’t know about, but also about the things we didn’t know we didn’t know about!
We’ve also made some great new friends: designers, artists of all kinds, musicians, skateboarders, and a world-famous photographer who toured with Foo Fighters.
Meanwhile, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to create even more awesome garms and wall art for you.
