Here at TEN OF CLUBS, we're always looking for ways to support the alternative music community and champion the people who make it such a vibrant place to be. That's why we're proper excited to announce our new partnership with the Ragamuffin Music Podcast.

Hosted by Dan, Alex, and James — three passionate metalheads never happier than at a gig or festival, or chewing the cud about heavy music — this Oxfordshire-based podcast has been entertaining alternative music fans since December 2020 with its fortnightly mix of news, reviews, gig vlogs, and discussions covering the worlds of rock, metal, and everything in between.

The Ragamuffins: Dan, Alex, James

Just like TEN OF CLUBS, the Ragamuffin Music Podcast was born during lockdown, when COVID cancelled gigs, wiped festivals from the calendar, and silenced live music everywhere.

Unable to spend weekends at shows up and down the country, the Ragamuffins filled the void by turning their attention to the alternative scene they love — grabbing some microphones and getting to work.

Seventy-four episodes later, what began as a lockdown project has grown into an essential monthly podcast for fans of alt rock, metal, punk and heavy music.

From playlists and album reviews to festival previews and recaps of Download, Slam Dunk, 2000trees and more, the Ragamuffins have built a loyal following by celebrating heavy music and the alt community.

At TEN OF CLUBS, we've always believed alternative culture deserves more than just another clothing brand. Through band interviews, unmissable events, playlists and original content, we've forged a community around alternative music, creativity, and the people who keep the scene alive.

We've got to know the Ragamuffins well over recent months. The more we’ve spoken, the more obvious it’s become that we share exactly the same ethos — so it feels natured to join forces.

Over the coming months, you can expect to see the Ragamuffins getting involved with various TOC music events — including Fresh Blood and TOCstock — interviewing bands, capturing behind-the-scenes moments, and creating exclusive content from gigs and festivals across the UK.

We'll also be featuring every new episode of the podcast right here in The Winchester, giving you an easy way to keep up with the latest news, reviews, and discussions from the alt music scene.

This is just the beginning. We've already got plenty of ideas bubbling away, from competitions and giveaways to exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes content — all with one aim in mind: supporting the bands, venues, festivals, and fans that make alternative music such an incredible community to be part of.
